Experts occupy an outstanding position, which is primarily based on their special, above-average expertise and practical experience. This is reflected in the expert opinion, which is of significant importance, for example, for trade, collectors or insurance companies, but also in legal disputes.

Dr Häret speaks at the BVK Art Forum on the legal framework and current issues relating to expert activity. In addition to the contractual foundations, the lecture will also address, among other things, the complex liability issues with consideration of liability towards third parties (in particular contracts with protective effects for the benefit of third parties). His presentation will be supplemented by current case law and issues relating to crypto artworks and so-called “NFTs” (“Non-Fungible Tokens”).
